Arr Matey's!

Today be talk like a pirate day! I just be posting here to inform ye all of my latest excapades. I guess ye could say I celebrated a wee bit early as Wednesday I was searching for booty near the lake with a good scallywag. I may even have pictures of those exploits to bring you visual treasure.

Other than that I be working and things 'o that nature, I've nae been up to much though I will be taking of m'treasures to be fixed after I be getting off werk. Then I will get with the rest of my gaming crew to have fun later this evening. No real plans for this weekend, but will see about what mischief can be found.

That be all!

Yarr!

Hey everyone. I'm going to do my con report a little differently. I set up my thoughts kinda in outline format. I'm going to apologize ahead of time as I met a whole lot of people, and memory is a little foggy after the con and stuff. I'd love for people to message me, here through LJ, possibly give me contact info so I can keep in touch with everyone. I've been rather busy after the con. Read more... )

So that is my con report in a nutshell. I hope you all enjoyed. I know I may not have mentioned everyone by name and stuff, please forgive my bad memory and stuff. I do hope to see you all again very soon at another con. I hope to keep in touch with new friends made, and hope to keep in better touch with everyone in general. Hope you all enjoyed my report. ^_^
Friday night after work I followed some of my roomie's advice. Get out with friends and such. So... I was called by a friend who wanted to hang out after work and go see a movie. I hadn't seen this friend in a while so I decided to do so. We met up at the theater and picked a foreign film called "The Orphanage". It was a really interesting ghost story to say the least. I liked it, and my friend was a little taken/freaked out by the movie as he said it had themes and elements that kinda really got to him. It was a cool movie none-the-less. We also stayed in the parking lot and just talked for a while as it seemed he really needed to get some things off his chest on dealing with some friends he knows and I tried giving my best advice to him.

I also want to wish [livejournal.com profile] arakinuk a belated birthday and glad you made it here to the states fine. I'll see you on Thursday this week and all my other friends who are going to be at FC. Depending on how long I stay at my current job I'm looking at vacation stuff and definitely going to cut AC out of my trip schedule because I'd rather make a different trip instead, and have more time this time around. Though it depends on the job too and vacation time.

Oh and cellphone wise I've been very lazy and finally switched over to the Razr that was given to me... It was so annoying getting all the contacts moved over and I think I'm gonna get with Dylan about seeing how to sync things with my mac as I know my brother used his mac and razr together to transfer files via bluetooth. I want to thank people for the well wishing and want you to know that things are going ok, just taking things one step at a time here, and continuing to move forward.
To.. [livejournal.com profile] sky (Gwaland)! :) Hope it was a fun day and that things are looking up for you man.
I recently got a CD that was part of a gift package from someone very dear to me who lives in the UK. The CD part was mostly in part from [livejournal.com profile] celyddon who got in touch with [livejournal.com profile] arakinuk and the CD was included along with other stuff. As most of you may know I've been enthralled with the movie Stardust and recently picked it up as it just came out on dvd (If you haven't picked it up, do so... The movie is awesome!). The song at the ending credits of the movie I fell in love with and wasn't included in the cd soundtrack that was released and only was released just now in this single that is in the UK. The cd though came with a bonus song that has grown on me, but mostly the lyrics and the meaning behind them.

I want to wish everyone a Happy Holidays, and Merry Christmas to those who celebrate it. There really isn't anything 'physical' I want for Christmas, and money can't or won't buy it either. I can't wait to get off work tomorrow and spend time with my family.

I know I haven't posted in a few days. I've just been kinda not really much for online and whatnot. This week is spring break and I've been relaxing. :P Work wise on Monday I unfortunately set my alarm for the wrong time and did not get up in time for work so I called in sick. Tuesday after the regular meet at [livejournal.com profile] teirandragon & [livejournal.com profile] fuzzwolf's I thought I went to bed just fine at an hour I have usually gone to bed but slept through one alarm and woke up @ 7:00am and know I couldn't have gotten into work by 7:15am. So I just called in sick again. :/ Much as I hated doing it. *grumbles* I spent the time though relaxing and whatnot. I came in today just fine, was up till my usual time last night and didn't sleep through an alarm. *shrugs* The way the attendance policy goes at my workplace even if I had gone into work if I'm tardy I get what is called an "occurrence". Doesn't matter if I show up to work or not so I decided as I stated before might as well not go in. Since it was all part of being "sick" it's just 1 occurrence and will roll off next year. Though I may not be here next year so I'm not going to worry too much.

I didn't know about a movie meet for this weekend and didn't plan on going. Today I was given off from work and truth be told I'm getting very annoyed at the place. I personally think I'm going to wait till after this semester and then I'm going to quit. They've paid for this semester so I want to stay at least that long. I want to then find just a part time job and deal with less stress. I don't care if I can't go back to Verizon I really want my life back. I've worked full time and gone to school and whatnot, but this job really does take the cake. It used to be so much better when I first started. They're so badly micromanaging things it isn't even funny. I don't know where I'll go from here but after getting my degree it'll be much better I hope anyway.

Still been dealing with some stuff... *sighs* I really wonder at times about myself. What kind of person I am, where I want to be, who I want to be with and all that jazz. I'm just very unsure of things...

Enough silliness... Here is my schedule for next week.
    3/4 - 3/10
  • Sunday: 9:00am - 5:30pm (Full 8hr. day 2brks. & 30min. lunch)

  • Monday: 7:15am - 1:15pm (1 - 15min. break)

  • Tuesday: OFF

  • Wednesday: 7:15am - 1:15pm (1 - 15min. break)

  • Thursday: OFF

  • Friday: 7:15am - 5:45pm (Full 8hr. day 2brks. & 30min. lunch) + 2hrs. OT 10hr. day

  • Saturday: 7:15am - 3:45pm (Full 8hr. day 2brks. & 30min. lunch)
EDIT: P.S. They added 2hrs onto my Friday... I'm still "legally" under the limit for part time. I'm workin 38hrs. this week... The legal maximum here in Texas they can work me is 39.5 hours. I wonder if there is anything I can do to say... "Hey I can't work over this many hours" or something like that... *grumbles* I'm thinking highly though on leaving after this semester as there are some other stupid things that this job is doing... They are so micromanaging the hell out of the workers and the morale of all the employees is going down the toilet.
Oh and here is a little treat behind a cut. Read more... )
